We are a troop of the Boy Scouts of America in the Minsi Trails Council and are charted by Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Bethlehem, PA.  Be sure to check out our calendar, photo gallery, or feel free to contact us if you're interested in seeing our troop in action!

Troop 301 meets weekly in the Assumption B.V.M. church basement at 7:00pm every Thursday.

We are a true boy led troop. The scouts determine the troop program and carry it out. In order to do this, boy leaders meet once a month to plan out the following four weeks of meetings. Scouts learn essential outdoor, first aid, and life skills in order to reap the benefits that Baden Powell, founder of the scouting movement, had in mind when he introduced scouting. We utilize the "patrol method" when on outings and at summer camp; organizing as patrols, cooking as patrols, eating as patrols, and camping as patrols. Older scouts mentor younger scouts so that both benefit from the interaction. Scouts learn personal responsibility, leadership, outdoorsmanship, and how to honor their bodies, their country, and God.

From the BSA National Website...

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
